Hero's Heart Day 2021 was...

 ...heartbreaking. It was just too cruel. There was this quest. Aspenvale Academy. The style of the quest was more along the lines of a dating sim game, but with DF characters instead. And it had Tomix in it. So when they said to pick someone to focus on and go on a QuestVenture with, of course, I zeroed in on Tomix. So I'm picking all the options that would raise the relationship with him. And then it starts glitching. In a pre-programmed way. So, I start getting curious. And then the first part ends. So I have to wait a week for the second one. And I played that... Yesterday. Yes, it was yesterday. So I read through it till the end. And when they tell me to pick a partner, I pick Tomix. And what do I get instead of anything else? I get a scene of the Hero visiting Tomix's grave. Because Tomix is dead. 

And yet, his soul is still missing. So where the hell is he? I'm still believing the theory that he occupies the body of his brother who lost his soul. At this point, the theory is unlikely, but hey, I'm not giving up on it. I have to believe it. Tomix is the best character out of all of them! 

So yeah, this year's Hero's Heart Day was heartbreaking. At least for me. What they did to Tomix was not cool and I'm still not over it. And I don't plan on getting over it. Not unless they bring him back. I know I wrote a ranting post about his death almost right after I finished the Void ship saga. For the record, I no longer ship Tomix and Warlic in the romantic sense of the word. But I do enjoy fluff between those two. Gimme fluff. I'm probably gonna have to go and re-read the one sole fic that has some serious fluff between Warlic and Tomix that exists. Seriously, DF is such a well of possible fanfiction ideas, and yet... There's not that much unless you count all the stories with a female Hero paired with one of the NPCs. And that is not something I like. 

Really! It's not fair! It's always my favorite character that has to bite the dust! I hate this! What am I doing wrong? Am I picking the wrong favorites? At least The Untamed had a happy ending. Even if they didn't kiss... (In the drama).

Done. I'm done. I just needed to scream a little about this.

Bring Him Back!

I'm talking about Tomix from DragonFable. He's one of my favorite characters. Along with Warlic. However, I just finished the Book 3 Ravenloss Saga - aka the Void Ship, and I'm angry. They killed him! Tomix is dead, but his spirit is not where it should be, so there's a bit of hope left. Not much, but I'm gonna hold on to it and not let go for anything! They brought Warlic back, they will bring Tomix back if they know what's good for them! 

Oh, and for the record, I totally ship Warlic and Tomix! Deal with it.

Star Stable Online (SSO)

Okay, first of all, the abreviation (SSO) is really similar to SAO and it is very confusing. 

Now, what is Star Stable Online? Well, it's just the best horse game available. Sure, it is not free (only up to level 5), but I think the money you pay is well worth it. 

The game is a sort-of direct continuation of Starshine Legacy games. Those are kinda old and while not bad, story vise, the gameplay was not the best. 

After that there were Starstable for PC and I played those too. 

And then, several years after I stumbled on SSO. First, I didn't play it because I was discouraged by the paying, but then I got curious and decided to install it and if I like it, I would pay for the full version. So, I did install it. I played for a little while and then I went to see how to unlock the full version, the so called Star Rider status. Well, there was this offer back in February. For 15 days of Star Rider status only an insignifant amount of money so I went for it and then I decided that yes, the game is super cool and that I will pay for the lifetime membership, which in the end is cheaper. So long as you play for more than a year. Which I'm defeinitely planning to do.

So, how does it work? 

You create your account, for which you need an email or your facebook account. Which obviously needs email too.

Then, you download the client (previously you could play in your browser) and start it. You log in and let the thing download all the updates. Then you start the game and create your character. You get to pick from a bunch of looks that can be later on changed in-game. 

The bad thing is that you can only pick your name from predetermined selection. You can combine it anyway you like, but only so long that there isn't anyone else using the same combination. 

After that you customize your starter horse. But don't worry if you don't like him. If you're a starrider, you'll eventually have enough star money to buy the dream horse you want. After you customized the nag, you can pick it's name, it is the same principal as the character name.

Then, it's off to Moorland stable. 

There you will be walked through the basics, like driving your horse, parking it, caring for it and all that. 

For those of you who know the games I mentioned at the begining, this might be a bit boring, but when you get through it, the interesting quests will come. Some of them are weird, but most of them are really interesting. 

However, there are only limited amount of quests available to non Star Riders. As well as only two locations being available. That's why it's better to spend the money on being a Star Rider. You have the whole game unlocked and if you're high enough level, also all the so far available locations. There are some, that are not accesible yet, but I'm sure they will be soon. 

You will meet some of the characters from previous games, including Herman, Fripp aka the white squirrel and the Soul riders. Also, the bad guys will make their appearance. 

So be ready to sneak into their hideout and discover their neffarious plans and perhaps stop them before they can finish them.

What I think of the game? Well, apart from the fact that new quests are only added every Wednesday and not more often, I love it. Like, really love it. So far, it's the best online game I've played so far. Simply because I don't count some of the games as online games. But if you want to get technical, it's the best MMORPG I've ever played. 

I've managed to acumulate quite a number of horses and I'm still planning to buy more. Though I hope that by the time, they all reached their max level, the max level will be more than the current 15. Because seriously... 

I also hope that the new animations that are so far only on the American Quarter Horse will be implemented for all the horses soon. Can't wait to see my black Arab with this new anims.

And if you didn't figure it by now, that black Arab is my prized horse. My bestest most favourite horse ever!

Okay. Now a bit of a question for you. 

Do you have experience with the game? If yes, do you like it? If no, are you going to try it? And most importantly, do you even like horses? Because if you don't then I would really like to know why you even bothered to read this.

Blood Moon Online

Two or three days ago I found an interesting online game. It's with werevolfs, vampires and hunters. At first, I thought it would be boring and a bit too much of a reminder that I hate Twilight, but hey, it turned to be a good one. First, you pick your race. I play on two servers and on one I'm a hunter and on the other I'm a vampire. Then you pick a name and a portrait. Oh, and I think that the hunters have better portraits. At least, the females do. I didn't check the male portraits much, so I cannot speak for those. 

Then, they walk you through it. There are quests, fights against other players and so called boss fights that are accessible through the world map. You also have a sanctuary, where you can improve it's appearance and it looks good!

Next thing is the graphics. I mean, not much when it comes to the game, but when it comes to the interface when you're questing, amazing pictures to look at! I even started to draw them. Well, not all of them, but the ones I really like, like... Creepy house, ruined castle, abandoned graveyard, some werid dock or something... 

Love it!

Then there are shops for potions and for weapons and gear. But you can usually find the gear by questing. The potions, however, are quite interesting and I use them often, well, as often as I can, because I don't like buying the ones costing "hematit", which is currency bought with real money (or sometimes found through questing).

Last interesting thing are the "guilds". I'm pretty sure they are not actually called guilds in the original english version, but I'm too lazy to go check it out. So let's call it a guild. 

The guild has three buildings and each one gives one bonus. One gives health bonus, other expi bonus and the last one gives gold bonus. All depending on the building level, of course.

This game may sound boring to you, but I love it very much, mainly because of the pictures during the quest interface. I was literaly blown away by them! And when I force myself to actually film my next sketchbook, I might point out the ones that are from the game. 

Okay, I hope I didn't forget anything, but seriously, I love it, so if you're bored or have some free time on your hands, or if you simply like playing online games, go check it out!

Rose Knight

Just wanted to reflect on my playing strategy for the League of Angels MMORPG. You see, I'm level 60, but I'm still using one of the weakest heroes. I'm still using Rose Knight. I just can't let him go. He was my favourite right from the start. And while I understand I could just keep him, but not have him active in my party, I just can't do that. 

So I'm weakening myself on purpose. Is it bad? If I were a serious gamer, it might be, but I'm all about the cool stuff and it doesn't matter if it's weak. I mean, if it's weak, I'll just enhance it till it's strong. Because, I'm not letting him go! 

There is no longer a way for me to get blue hero souls so I wouldn't be able to re-recruit him if I fired him. And I'm definitely not doing that. 

Yes, he's weak compared to some of the heroes I can recruit now, but he's still the coolest of them all! The best looking one! Yes, it's the stupidest reason you can get, but it's the truth! I'm keeping him, cause he's cool looking! 

Think me crazy, I don't care. I'm still not getting rid of him.

League of Angels

Okay, 

before I get sidetracked with "blogging 101: Zero to Hero", I should probably get this post out of the way, or I might forget. And that would be bad. 

So, I wanted to tell you about this one game. It's called League of Angels. And it is a massive multiplayer online game. Basically, you create your account, you can do this through your google account or facebook and two more. I got my account through google, if I'm not mistaken. But that is not important.

You can pick one of four available characters. Well, technically speaking, it's two characters that have a male and a female version. If you know me, you know, that I prefer to play as a male character, so it was no wonder I picked a male mage character (Later on, I started on another server and picked the other one). The other character is a knight. 

One notable thing about this game is the beautifully drawn characters. Be it the hero or the angels or even the enemies. 

The point of this game is to help the angels or something. I confess that I don't read all the crap they spout. I just play. 

This game has many different features. Let's take a look at some of them:

Guardian Angel:

The first one is an angel that is a sort of guardian. In this game, you can unlock many different ones. The best one is Victoriana, but to get her, you have to be very good and participate in all the tournaments and her icon is really more of a prize for like... The best player on the server or so. The second best is Nyssa and you can get her from the arena shop (more about that later). It costs a lot, but if you save your arena tokens, it is possible. The angels fight alongside you and can deal massive damage to your enemies.

Title:

You can obtain different titles throughout the game. It takes time, but they are worth it. The higher title, the better angel you can unlock. And the better title, the better the bonusses. Like health.

Forge:

I will not go into detail about forge. It is similar in almost every game - basically, upgrade your gear and make it more powerfull. Or you can socket gems that boost your stats.

Party:

In this game, you can recruit heroes that will fight together with you. The higher level, the better heroes you can recruit and the more can fight with you at the same time. 

Arena:

Fight against the other players and win arena tokens that you can use in arena shop to buy angel icons and other usefull items.

Mount and upgrading heroes:

There is, of course a mount in this game. You can glamour him, but most of the glamours are very hard to obtain. The basic one takes a hundred days of loop quests (daily quests). And only if it oges well. Sometimes, you just aren't able to finish all of them

Then, there are many different ways to upgrade your party. There is standard upgrade using bless stones, training using soulstones, elemental upgrade and runes. And your main character can upgrade his emblem. But only if you're in a guld.

Guild:

Usefull, if you want to have a high emblem. The emblem boosts your stats and quite a lot. But it takes a lot of donations to the guild to get guild tokens and exchange them for the material required to upgrade emblems.

And this is the only thing I do in guild. Of course, there are events that let the guilds fight against each other. And many other things. But this is, I thnk, the most important one. And all you need for it is a one-man-guild.

There is many other features, but it would take too much time to describe them all. Though I just have to mention the Tidal Pool, where you have to catch fish for gold and mainly soulstone. It is great and you obtain more with a higher level pool. Each caught fish adds to the pool's experience. 

And it is one of the things you just have to try out. 

Also, this game does not require that much time. And it is pretty! I mean, come on! Though I don't want to force anyone. Because, even if I do like this game, games are time consuming and should be played with care and certainly not the whole day.

Fishing

Hi,

Lately, I've been playing Minecraft, as you know from my previous post. Well, you know waht is the best thing about it? Apart from finding diamonds? Well, it's fishing! I like it. Yes, it can seem boring, but I really like fishing out enchanting books! I've got about ten of em so far. And with time, I'll get even more. Basically, what I do, is fish all the time while enclosed within a stone fence.

Yes, sometimes, I leave it to go mining something or other, but most of the time, I play on hard difficulty and just fish. Occasionally killing a zombie or other creeps that stand around my fence. Of course, when I go mining, I switch to peacefull difficulty. I seriously don't want to deal with mobs when I'm balancing on the edge of lava. Just, no.

But the fishing is good. Really. Apart form enchanting books, you can get an enchanted bow or an enchanted fishing rod. And other stuff. Like strings, leathre boots, well, those are not the best, but still, if you combine them, it is worth something... Oh well, whatever. I just like to fish. It's fun.

Minecraft

You probably heard about it, but still, I decided to write my own oppinion on it. What I'm talking about? Well... The pixel-ish, voxel-ish famous game of Minecraft. Yes, I'm playing it too. Started last weekend. And it's my cousin's son's fault! He has a tablet and he got the pocket edition of Minecraft on it. And I tried it. And I got addicted.

I mean, the graphics are like... weird, but after a while, you'll like it. First, I was a bit confuset as to what I'm supposed to do, but then, that might have been because on tablet, the controling is wastly different then when you have the computer version.

So, I started playing... So far, I only played the single player version, and to be honest, I'm not really rushing to try multiplayer. Multiplayer games... Let's just say I play in them as a solo player anyway. But that's beside the point.

So, moving on. In minecraft, as many of you probably know, you mine the blocks of which the world is composed. Be it wood, dirt or some kind of ore. Then, you use what you mined and create objects. And tools. And of course, you build yourself a structure you can call home. be it a watchtower or a cathedral or just a plain and simple house. In this game, some amazing structures can be done. I've seen on the internet minecrafted version of Minas Thirid from LOTR.

I myself, I only do some simple structures. Basically, I just play around. I like it though. However, if you know of a way to make more diamonds, it would be nice. I just can't seem to be able to find enough of them.

Oh, and I've got another question. When you have the portal to Nether, can the monsters (mobs) from Nether use it to pass through to the Overworld? I tried to find out, but If the answer was there, it probably was not clear enough for me to understand. So, a simple yes, or no. That would be great! Thanks!

Oh, and if you're a minecraft player, tell me your thoughts on this game! What do you like about it the best?

And if you people play multiplayer, tell me in what ways it is different from singleplayer. I'd like to know before I try it. Like, if there are any major differences... So that I'm prepared for them.

Rise of Mythos

About two months ago, I found an interesting game. An online fighting card game. Basically, you have cards that represent monsters and spells. These can be summoned to the battle field. When summond, they battle against their oponents. The game is kinda in a campaign mode, but it has multiplayer as well. And boss challenges. Another thing is, that you have something akin to a town, your town, or city. There you can build and upgrade some structires. The most important I'd say are the Alchemy lab and the City hall, which is your main sourse of income. The Alchemy lab allows you to combine, fuse and extract cards in order to get new cards. 

 The game is good, focuses on tactics. As sometimes, you just won't win a battle with automatic fighting on. The auto fight is great for lower level battles and some boss fights. Definitely not for the ascenssion tower or high level combat. Though some of the higher level battles are better fought with the auto on. Not all of them though. 

 The game is good and if you have too much free time, try it. You can find it here. Or here. I play on both. Started on the second though. Right now, I'm level fourty-something. And trying to get to level 45 as soon as possible. Why? Well... Because, in the campaign, the next section is locked until I'm level 45. In the meantime, I'm mainly collecting the daily log-in bonus.

They are nice players too

Hi,

I was playing Wings of Destiny today. Only a moment ago, actually. And there was this guy, his name is srg2 or something. And he was nice. We got to talking and he even got me a nice piece of equipment. To be honest, it's the first time in an international mmorpg that I encountered such a nice player. I seem to have bad luck and always encounter those Player killers.

And that's so not cool! In the past, I was killed so many times! Annoying. But this evening, luck smiled at me and this player was really nice. Maybe I'll even stop playing completely solo... It might be nice to team up with someone from time to time. I probably won't do it often, but yes, sounds nice. Every once in a while.

Why not to play online games

The answer is simple. They will consume a lot of your time. And even though you're right now saying to yourself that it's only a tem minutes a day thing, trust me, it will become an hour at least within just a few weeks. I know what I'm talking about. I was like that. And even now, I'm still playing these types of games. 

 I was much much worse though. I played for hours a day. Now I realy play just for about ten minutes a day and that's several games that I deal within those ten minutes. And I mean ten minutes of pure playing. Not having the game opened in a second tab in my browser in order to be "online" to get my online reward. 

 So when you're about to start to play one of these games, try to think first. Think if the game is realy worth it or if it is just you not having any other hobbies. Of course, sometimes the game can be a great way to relax. Expecially if it is a game in which you can kill something. I play a game like that when I'm angry. And it helps. 

 It's just games are time consuming. And then you realize that there are a lot of things you wanted to do and didn't have the time. Because you were playing games. And that's why games are such a danger. Yes, they can be a source of a great pleasure and bonding time if you play multiplayer but your day should be more than that.
