Mulan [2020]

Well, I expected more from it. But I'm biased. I recently watched The Untamed. So yeah. Like, if you've never seen the original Mulan or any Chinese historical drama (made by the Chinese people!), it's not too bad an action flick. But I have! Seen both. Both the original Mulan and recently I've been into watching Chinese drama. So yeah. I'm biased.

First of. They completely removed Mushu and Shang. As well as changed the name of the main villain. Honestly, Bori Khan sounds nowhere near as epic and badass as ShanYu. Excuse the spelling if it's wrong. I'm too much in the groove to go look it up. But I'm probably correct and if not, I'll edit it later. Back to the stuff they changed - not for the better.
I could have accepted the switch from Mushu to the Phoenix, sure, why not. But captain Shang was the best character from the whole thing! Him being replaced by an unknown random soldier? Sorry, but I'm not buying it. Honestly, when I hear the words Live-action remake, I kind of expect the plot to stay the fuck the same! At the same time, I understand that some things that are easy to animate might be really hard to do with special effects. Yet! When it comes to Mulan, the only thing that really needs serious special effects is Mushu. And possibly crickee. But that's a different story.

Next. Why would they even put the Witch in! She brings nothing to the story, only muddles it up. And that stupid redemption sub-plot? Nope. It would have been more interesting if she killed Khan near the end of the movie and turned into the ultimate villain. Also, shapeshifting into a bloody bird?! Again, nope. But again, I'm biased. As right now, I'm watching a Chinese drama - Guardian - and there's a tribe of raven shapeshifters. Yeah, maybe I picked the wrong time to watch Mulan, but I can't help it! I blame The Untamed!

Deadpool 2 [2018]

So, yesterday. I was reading a fanfic. The name is Point of No Return and you can find it on AO3. That is not the point. I was also looking for something to watch and well, the story featured Deadpool. And I'm like... Maybe I should watch Deadpool 2. I've been postponing that for so long. I'm not saying that Deadpool 1 was bad, it is just that Deadpool is not my favorite superhero. I have nothing against him, but I'm not as invested in him as I'm in some of the other major MCU characters. But, I was running low on things to watch so Deadpool 2 it was. Mostly because he was really funny in the fanfic. So yeah, I went to watch that. And again, Deadpool has a tendency to first show the middle of the story. Well, not the middle, but about a fourth in. Also, the guy keeps breaking the fourth wall. I guess that's just him, but well, I think it wouldn't be as funny if it was any other character. I'm still not sure if I really liked the movie or not. It was definitely watchable. But that's really all I can say for certain at this point. Though I did enjoy the credits scenes. What I didn't like was the kid - Russel or whatever his name is. I don't know... I just really didn't like him. From the beginning. I liked Cable better than him. And he started out as the bad guy. At least I'm pretty sure we all agree that Juggernaught was not likable at all. And if there is anyone out there who liked him, well, you're weird. And I don't wanna talk to you.
I honestly don't know what else to write about the movie without giving out spoilers. Fuck, writing a book review is simpler. Maybe because I have no problem with giving a summary of the book. But with movies, well, not that simple. Also, a movie storyline is usually shorter than a book.
This movie is definitely for those who like dirty jokes and comedies with a bit (a lot) of violence. Whatever, screw the no spoiler thingy. So! Deadpool kills a lot of people, his girl gets killed, he goes to mope to the X-men, then Russel enters the scene, they get sent to prison, Deadpool breaks out when Cable attacks it, prisoners get transported somewhere else, Deadpool forms a team and highjacks the transport, Russel leaves with Juggy, Deadpool, and co. go stop him before he kills the head of the orphanage after they join forces with Cable. Fight, Deadpool dies, Cable rewinds time, saves him, everyone is happy. Then cue the credits scenes.
And I suck at this. Maybe because while I did watch the movie, I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Like, certain scenes were really funny, but still... I think I need to go and watch Advent Children again. And yes, I'm on a Sephiroth kick. Sue me. Deadpool has nothing on Sephy. Still, I'm also on Marvel kick and well, this was something I had yet to watch so I did. Next on my list is the Daredevil Netflix show. Already about four episodes in. And it already looks better than Deadpool. Sorry Deadpool, you're not up to par.

Detective Conan Movie 22 - Zero the Enforcer [2018]

Finally! The 22nd movie came online. The Japanese people need way too long for the anime movies to come out on DVD or Blue Ray. Or on some other media. But that's not the only problem, it came out in October, the problem is, that then we had to wait for worthwhile subs to be added. But, the day before yesterday, it finally happened! It was added to OtakuStream. And I just know that Otaku Stream would not upload it unless the quality of the subs and the whole thing was good.
So I watched it. BLOWN AWAY! After watching the 21st movie, I was quite disappointed, because movies 18, 19 and 20 were awesome! I mean, 18 is the best, simply because it finally confirms the alive status of one Akai Shuuichi! Simply by making Subaru Okiya open his eyes. So that one is great. Movie 19 is great too because it has Kaitou KID. And Any KID movie is great. And 20 gives us Furuya Rei and Akai Shuuichi out of disguise working together, so also awesome! But then we get some weird love story with Heiji and Kazuha in movie 21 and that's lame... Like, don't misunderstand me, I watched it too and enjoyed it, just not as much as movies 18, 19 and 20. So 22 was a pleasant surprise.
The main focus is on Zero, aka Furuya Rei who is from the NPA, Japanese Secret Police. Don't ask me to decipher the abbreviations, I didn't do my homework on that, but it's a section of the police force.
The movie takes place during a time where an unmanned capsule is supposed to come back from the outer space and the main culprit's goal is to use it to blow up the police headquarters, but this comes to play way way later. There is also going to be a summit of the World Leaders of some sort. The who is not important. The important thing is, that the venue is blown up and Zero is caught in it. Then Mouri Kogoro is framed and Conan tries to uncover the truth. At first, he doesn't know that Zero tapped his phone, but when he finds out, he uses it to his advantage.
And then Conan and Zero have to work together to alter the path of the capsule to avoid it smashing into the location where everyone has evacuated to from the area around the police headquarters. In the process, Zero's car is totaled and he gets injured, but the injury is minor and the car can be replaced. The important thing is, they manage to save the day and they do it by working together.

However, I was thinking and the one thing I would love to see, is Akai, Zero, KID and Shinichi working together, I mean, that would be awesome and I just know that they would be able to take down any threat. However, it doesn't seem like they will make an episode like that. Or god forbid a movie... Hell, I even kinda hate the whole Ran/Shinichi romance... He's way more suited to be together with Kaitou KID. But again, if I want that, I have to go and read fanfiction.
My fanfic search purposefully excludes any Ran/Shinichi pairing tagged fics. I won't read those. Unless it's a fic that starts with this couple and then follows with Ran!Bashing and then KaiShin.

Okay. I'm gonna go and do something else now. Like rewatch some Conan movies. And wait for the newest SAO Alicization episode. Which has nothing to do with Conan. But hey, SAO fan here. Though I hate Asuna. Nya!

~Bye.

The Real Villan in Harry Potter

Yep, I'm back, so let's get to it.

Most people would think that Voldemort is the bad guy in Harry Potter. The Ultimate bad guy. With mini bad guys thrown in the mix in the form of Umbridge, Lucius Malfoy, and similar characters, but I'm of the opinion that that's just wrong. You're probably wondering what the frigg I'm talking about right now, correct? Well, to me, it seems that the real bad guy is none other than Dumbledore.
DUN DUN DUN!
Yeah, I mean that. One reason for this is me simply not liking him, but there is more. In book six, when he goes to the orphanage to talk with young  Tom Riddle, he already at that point thinks that Tom's evil. Only because he can talk to snakes. As for Tom using magick on the other kids in the orphanage, that's a whole another can of worms. Kid just defended himself. Since none of the adults would stand up for him, he did it himself. And if it was a bit too violent? Well, it's not like anyone taught him better right?
Back to Dumbles. He also has a connection to Grindelwald and more than likely was actually his lover. J.K. confirmed Dumbles being gay. Don't know if the "being Grindelwalds lover" is a real thing, but I don't think it's taking it too far.
For the Greater Good is a phrase that originally belonged to Grindelwald. And when Dumbles defeated him, he took it for his own. However, after defeating Grindelwald, he no longer had a villain to fight and therefore his fame and glory would fade, so what does he do? He makes another villain. Tom is an orphan and if he goes and becomes a Dark Lord, who will miss him? The muggles that run the orphanage? Nope. They would probably be happy to be rid of the unnatural kid.
And the whole Harry Potter thing? That's a whole another mess to blame on him. I'm pretty sure Dumbles was in on the Secret keeper thing. So he probably knew that Sirius was innocent. I'm not saying that most of this has any real support to stand on, apart from the whole Tom and the orphanage thing. I'm simply writing this the way I see it. Also, the fact that I'm a huge fan of Voldemort helps.
Back to Harry. Why would Dumbles put him with his muggle relatives? Ones that hate magic and want to be as normal as possible. Well, it's pretty simple. He wanted a sacrificial lamb. Someone he could use to get rid of Voldemorts Horcruxes and then let Voldy kill him only to finish the fight himself. Thing is, he didn't account for the curse so he died in book six. Honestly, we're probably better off without him though. Now, if only book six wasn't so bad! The whole thing was written for the sole purpose of killing the old dipshit.
Okay. that's it. You can kill me now. Just remember, this is simply the way I see it. If your opinion is different, I'm not trying to convince you to change it to agree with me, maybe you even have a great argument that would make me change my opinion. Feel free to share what you think about this.
Though remember, Voldemort lover here that was heavilly influenced by pro-Voldemort fanfics that ship Harry and Voldemort as a couple.

I could keep going. And switch to ranting about Ginny, another character that I don't like. With one notable exception being her portrayal in Batsutousai's Abandon and Reclaim fanfics. Really Harry, mummy complex much? Ginny looks like Lily Potter and frankly, it's just creepy to see him marry a girl that resembles his mother so much. Not to mention, yaoi fan here so there! Deal with it, you wanna ship them, ship them, but don't expect me to like it and start shipping them too.

Bye, Have a nice day. I should probably go before I start ranting about something else that pisses me off about Harry Potter. Like the Cursed Child book.

Logan [2017]

There will be spoilers!

So, about a week back, I saw the movie Logan. Online of course. And I was disappointed. The girl playing Logan's daughter was good. Really good. At least in my opinion. But the story itself, not so much. The integration of Professor X in it didn't make much sense. I did know a bit of the backstory about Laura, weapon X and all that rot. But not really from comic books, I don't read those. But there is the X-men Evolution and then wikis and also, if something appears in more than three fanfics, I start looking at it as possible canonical information.

Also, I have absolutely no idea as to where this movie fits with all the other live action ones. I mean, I have a bit of an idea where it fits in comics and other source material, but hey, the movies are somewhat crazy in this.

Oh well, movie was chaotic and didn't live up to my expectations. If you're a die hard marvel fan, sure, go ahead and try it, it might be necessary for some weird continuity in regards to future movies, but other than that, real disappointment.

The "avengers" side of the marvel verse is done much better. Can't wait for Ragnarok and Infinity wars.

Star Trek

I never thought I would become a Star Trek fan. When I was a kid, I might have seen an episode or maybe two, but that is probably pushing it. It probably wasn't even a full episode that I saw. To be completely honest, I saw more episodes of Red Dwarf than Star trek. And I hated Red Dwarf. The only sci-fi at that time that I really liked was Stargate SG-1. I probably knew about the existence of Star Wars, but haven'T really seen it until I was in my early teens.
Frankly, I don't even know why I watched the new Star Trek Beyond. Yes, that was the first one I saw in full even though it is the third in the new Star Trek Reboot.
And you know what? I think I know why I watched it. The new Star Wars came out, Ep. VII and I watched it only to watch Phantom Menace like twice in two days right after that and the original series right after (My favourite character is still Qui-Gon!). And then I was looking for more sci-fi that would be similarly interesting and so I happened across the new Star Trek.
I was hooked. During the last week I saw all three of the new movies twice and the first one thrice.
And before someone tells me to watch all the older series and movies, I won't. I fell in love with the cast of the reboot and I'm not gonna ruin it with the old cast and old special effects. Even if it means I have to wait for the fourth movie to be out. And yes, according to IMDB there will be a fourth movie. I might not be a full fredged Star Trek fan, but I do love the new movies and decided that maybe I actually like the sci-fi genre after all. I was never much of a fan, I prefered urban fantasy and dark fantasy (no vampires or werewolves, not a big fan of those, especially after reading Twilight). But the thing is, my favourite urban fantasy author is melding it together with sci-fi so much that I have a feeling that I've been liking sci-fi a lot longer that it seems at first glance.
So, I know that die-hard trek fans will probably tell me that the older Star Trek is far better than the new one, but you know what, I'm not forcing you to prefer the new one, so I would like it if you do not force me to watch the old one.
And now that that's out of the system, let's just say that I needed to rant about my newfound love for the new Star Trek. Of course, I also kinda wanna strangle Uhura and force Jim and Spock together because Spirk. At least that's what they are calling that pairing ove ron fanfiction.net.
Now, I'm gonna end it, post it and go wash my hair and then we shall see what happens after that.
See ya!

Pixels [2015]

"When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games." [1]
At first I didn't want to watch this movie, because I'm not really a fan of comedies, but this was also sci-fi and contained arcade games. And I thought that I might like it, considering I loved Wreck-It-Ralph.
And I was right. Yes, there were some stupid moments, but all in all, I enjoyed the movie immensly. The basic plot is that the 1982 arcade game championship is filmed and then the footage is send to the space where it is found by aliens that consider it a declaration of war.
They come to attack earth some 20 or so years later. I'm not entirely sure what 'present' year it takes place in, but I'm guesssing that around 20-30 years passed from the championship.
A group of people, that are good at arcade games, or were, band together under the president, who used to be an arcade gamer too, though not that good, and they fight the aliens who re-create the arcade games in real life.
The movie is full of fun as well as intense moments and while I'm not a big fan of comedies, I am all for some fun and I think that this 'comedy' didn't overdo it with the fun and that's good.
The main characters are played by Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad.
The guy who played Boromir, Sean Bean, also makes an appearance. Not a big one, but one non the less and that was actually the main reason I watched the movie. Though in the end I enjoyed it regardless of Sean Bean.
The one actor that I didn't like was Peter Dinklage, but not because of his acting skills, I think he's a good actor, but I just don't like the characters he playes. First it's Trask in X-men, now this little cheating twit. Sure, his acting is good, but the characters he playes make me not like him.
I would definitely recommend the movie, but I would also say that it is not a movie for everyone. If you like crack-ish sci-fy, you will definitely like this. If you don't, you might still like it, but it is not guaranteed.
The one thing I do when picking what movie to watch, I go by the people who play in them. If a favourite actor plays in it, I usually watch it without checking either the summary or anything else.
Most of the times it works. Unless we go by My Bloody Valentine, where I started watching and then I got curiious and went and googled who the murderer was before the movie ended and got angry that it was the actor because of whom I was watching the movie, who was the bad guy that I turned the movie off without finishing it. From that moment on, I decided that I would never look things up before actually finishing whatever it is I'm watching.
Not that that did me any good considering I did the same bloody thing with Prison Break, only there, I went and googled who of my favourite characters will survive. Again, stopped watching because of the answer I got.

Wreck-It-Ralph

Hello again, my dear readers.
I know I've been away for a while. Well, not really away, but not writing anything. It has a really easy explanation. I didn't know what to write. Apart from some papers for school. But that was necessary and not fun at all!
But now I'm back with a post.
I don't really know how far back it was that I saw the movie for the first time, but I don't think it was more than a month. The movie I'm talking about, is Wreck-It-Ralph. It is an animated Disney movie that depicts what videogame characters do after the arcade is closed. The main focus is on the bad guy from the game Fix-It Felix jr. The character is named Ralph and is a professional wrecker.
And what he breaks, Felix fixes.
But the problem is, that Ralph is fed up with being the bad guy. He wants to be one of the good guys, or nicelanders, as they are called inside his game. So he barges in when the nicelanders and Felix are having an aniversary party. Of course, it doesn't work the way he would have wanted, but the nicelanders told him that if he got a medal, he could live with them in the penthouse.
So Ralph sets out on an adventure to get him a medal. And after meeting a soldier from the Hero's duty game, he decides that it would be easy to get the medal from that game.
But abandoning your own game means going turbo, like a character from a game from a long time ago, that decided to take over another game when it became more popular than his own. But this action put both the games out of order.
And therefore, while Ralph is getting his medal, his own game is put out of order. At least temporarly.
Ralph manages to get his medal, but then he crashes a shuttle craft in another game. This one called Suger Rush, which is a pink filled go cart game.
His medal ends up on one of the candy trees and while trying to get it, he meets a little girl. The girls is named Vanellope and she manages to get to the medal before him. And then she uses it to enter her name into a race because she wants to be a real racer. At first, Ralph is mad at her, but then they decide to team up to get her a real racing cart.
This friendship gets temporarly undone when king Candy, the ruler of Sugar Rush, gives Ralph the medal back for smashing Vanellope's cart.
And in the meantime, the shuttle that Ralph crashed, contained a cybug, which is a kind of virus from Hero's Duty, that know only eat, kill and multiply. The female captain from Hero's Duty knows this and decides to follow it to SR to kill it before it can lay it's eggs. She is acompanied by Felix himself who is trying to find Ralph in order to save their game.
Then, Felix falls for the captainess, gets thrown into a dungeon, Ralph gets him out, Felix fixes the go cart for Vanellope, the race happens, it is unveiled that king Candy is in fact Turbo and that the bug multiplied.
Suger Rush is almost destroyed, but Ralph manages to save the day by creating a make-shift beacon which is the only way to get rid of the bugs. Suger Rush is saved when Vanellope crosses the finish line and it is then revveiled that she is the rightful ruler of Suger Rush and that Turbo tried to delete her code and thus forcing her to be a glitch.
But in the end, all is well, Ralph is liked by the nicelanders, Felix marries the female captain and Vanellope recreates Suger Rush to be a constitutional democracy and becomes the president.

The movie is really good and I really love the animation. Also, it shows that nothing is black and white and that even good guys can be bad, like Turbo, who started as a good guy. And that a bad guy can actually save the day.
I know the movie is targeted to younger audience, but I really think that it's not bad and worth giving it a try. But that's just me because lately, I found myself watching a lot of different animated disney movies.

What do you think? Have you seen the movie? If yes, what do you think about it? If not, did I spoil it for you too much? Please, forgive me, if so.

Maze Runner

(Written on 27. 9. 2014)

I love Marvel, I love Marvel Cinematic universe, but I also love fantasy and dystopian movies. And this time, I was in luck. Yesterday, I went to the cinema with my mother to see the Maze Runner movie. And it was awesome! A band of boys and one girl trapped in this gigantic maze swarming with "greavers". Amazing. And with no idea why they're there and no idea how to get out. That is, until the newbie boy manages to kill one of the greavers and they find they are at least part machines and také one of the parts with them.
The boy (Thomas) then goes exploring again, with another guy - Minho and they find a section of the maze, they haven't found before. And they start thinking that there might be a way out after all.
But one of the other guys doesn't want to get out of there, he says that this is their home now. Well, let's just say, that their area suddenly openes all of the gates and the greavers start pouring in. After that, the group splits in two, one part stays and the other one, they decide to try and find a way out. They manage, but loose a few of their own. After that, some questions are answered, but many more arise and the kids are herded into a chopper and fly somwhere who knows where, which will probably be in the next movie.
And I can't wait for it.
My mother doesn't agree with all the unanswered questions, but I think it makes it interesting. Like, a lot of speculations between the people who didn't read the books and probably even between the ones who read them. I myself am actually thinking about reading the second book, because, hey! I want to know what happenes next! The movie was amazing! And it also has huge potential for fanfiction. Well, so far there are only a few right now, but I'm hoping there will be more with time.
Well, that's probably it for now.
See ya next time.

Zodiac (2007)

(Written on 16. 9. 2014)

So I'm watching the movie Zodiac from 2007 where one of the main cast is Robert Downey Jr.

(Continued on 17. 9. 2014)

Well, seems like I stopped after just one sentence. Well, I guess the movie was way too captivating for me not to watch. I did finish watching it though. And I have to say that the second part was not really that interesting. Yeah, that morron was running here and there trying to find out who Zodiac was, but hey, I was watching it because of RDJ and in the second half, he has one flimsy appearance... Not cool at all!
But still, I did enjoy the movie. All the cyphers and codes and the hunt for the killer. And one more thing, Mark Ruffalo (is that how it's spelled?), the guy who played Bruce Banner in Avengers, was playing in this movie. That's another good thing. well, he's one of those in whose movies i haven't yet looked, but I will.
So, if you like crime and mysteries, I think you would enjoy the movie. It was not amazing, but it was pretty good, that's for sure.
However, I can't say I like the females that were in the movie. I mean, I can understand the guys had wifes, but seriously, I don't much like women... There are exceptions - mainly from Marvel. But that's another thing entirely.

Okay, I should probably stop, as I'm writing complete bulshit.

How to train your dragon 2

About two days ago, I managed to force myself to watch the second How to train your dragon movie. And man, it was awesome! Okay, I admit I didn't like Hiccup's helmet, but other than that, it was amazing. And there were some really funny scenes too!
The gist of the plotline is that Hiccup is flying around and stumbles upon a dragon trapping band. Then, a bunch of dragons take him and Toothless to a frozen spiky kind of a dragon cliff and he meets an interesting dragon "master". It turns out it is his mother and she's been living in the cliff with the alpha dragon there for 20 years straight.
The dragon trappers are connected to this evil overlord that comands another alpha dragon and the two alphas clash. During that, Hiccup's father is killed and the bloody bastard goes and attacks Burk (is that the correct spelling?). However, since the "evil" alpha defeted the other one, it also took control of the dragons, so they have to improvise to get to Berk.
Thankfully, there are still the baby dragons, which will not be controled by anyone. Not alpha and not really by a human either.
So they get to Berk and Hiccup regains control over Toothless - through their friendship.
After that, Toothless challenges the "evil" alpha and wins, thus kinda becoming the new alpha for all the present dragons.

The movie was amazing and I loved it very much. Mainly all the aerial tricks. As well as the battle of Toothless vs. the Alpha. It was simply great!
After this, I did a bit of a research and found out there will be a third movie, which I just can't wait to see, seeing as Hiccup become the village leader and I want to see how that will turn out. I'm also interested in what new tricks on dragons there will be.
Can't wait.

Uh.... Is it just me, or am I really bad at writing reviews? I think I'm not really that great at it, but I love writing it. It's just... Apart from the storyline and a few sentences about my thoughts, I don't really have anything to write...

Okay, but seriously, if you're into animated movies, I think you should watch this one. It will blow you away!

Enough said. I'm now gonna go and rewatch the first Iron Man movie.

A funny thing happened on the way to Thor's hammer

I just couldn't resist writing about this. It was pure chance I stumbled across the description of this short movie, well, Marvel One shot. So, I read the description and my first decision was to ignore it, but then, I got really into the Agents of SHIELD and I really like Coulson so I decided to look into it. And it turns out that this little Marvel One Shot is just a four minute short movie about Coulson on his way to Thor's hammer. And on his way, he stops at this gas station and while he's in there, it is assaulted by robbers. So he deals with them and it's all just SO funny!
So, I was thinking of actually embedding the video, but decided that no. I had to find it the hard way, so you have to do the same. Just know that it's worth it.
And it has great music!
And it has Phil in it!
Go and find it and watch it. And when you do, come back and tell me what you think about it.

Oh, and yes, I know this is mainly pointless post, but I just had to write it!

X-men: Days of Future Past

(Written on 27. 5. 2014)

So I've seen the new X-men movie. Yesterday, in fact. And It was just perfect. I love all the X-men stuff. With the exception of the anime "Wolverine" And the new Wolverine movie that takes place in Japan. I mean, I love Japan, but the movie is weird.
But to get back on track, the movie.
It was perfect. Great effects and stunts. The story was great too, I mean, who doesn't like time travelling? Right?
And it was Logan who was travelling back in time. And it was Kitty that sent him there. And while they were getting their asses kicked in the future, Logan was working hard to change the past. And with it the future.
And how it ended, well, go watch it.
Just know that there is young Charles Xavier and young Erik Lencher. And they're really fun! All the bickering and provocation! The only downside is young Beast, but that's because I just don't like his younger version that much.

Thor: The Dark World

So, yesterday, I think it was yesterday (8. 5. 2014) I finally saw the second Thor movie. And I loved it. I mean, come on! Loki kills it! My favourite characters are Loki and Thor. Jane? Not so much, but I don't usually like female characters. I didn't mind Darcy though. She was funny.
So, what's the story about? This "eater" or something. A long time ago, it was sealed. Only, somehow, it ends up in Jane Foster by some freak accident. And then, the bad guy - Malekith wakes up from a sort of coma in order to go after it.
Throw in Thor trying to protect Jane and being forced to team up with Loki, let's just say, you definitely won't be bored! I sure wasn't. And while I won't reveal it, the ending part is the best. The one taking place in Asgard. Because we already established I don't like Jane.
If you've seen the first movie, I'm sure you will like this one even more. And the Loki moments are great!
I'm sre as hell looking forward to the third movie. The only bad thing about that is that we have to wait. And I don't like waiting. Not at all!
Okay, whatever, I'm getting sidetracked. So, did you see this movie? If yes, did you like it? If yes, why? If not, again, why and what movies do you prefer instead? If any...
See ya!

Noah

Hi,
So, I decided to discard the idea to write about ABEL: It Can't Be You and move directly to the post about the Noah movie I was talking about earlier.
So, where to start, where to start... I should probably mention that I saw it in 3D and that makes even a bad movie seem okay. Anyway, so I saw the movie. The idea is directly taken from the Bible, obviously, since it is the big flood or whatever it is called in english... The movie starts with talk about Adam and Eve and their line. And how it is split into two lines. From one, Noah is, the other one is the line of Kain. By the way, why is it always the guys with cool names that are the bastards?
Okay, nevermind that. Moving on.
So, Noah has been told by god. He was told that all the evil will be flushed out by the flood. And he is to save the inocents. The animals. And he starts building the Arch with his family. Which includes a girl they found – Hermione... Ehm... Pardon – Illa (Is it two L?).
I really don't want to reveal too much, but I'm suspecting that you know the story from the Bible anyway. So, they build the arch, then tehy fight off the other humans on the planet, because, obviously, they want to be saved.
Ah, and Noah is such a badass. At first, he believes that his family is to die out after they save the animals, but the twin daughters of Illa and Chem (Shem?)? *doesn't know the english spelling for his name* change that. They make him see that not all humanity is bad.
And in the end, they land and start making their home there.
And then, there is this moment! A moment where you just want to sing a song from this french/czech movie La Creation du Monde. That was the french name, in czech it is Stvoření světa, in english it should be The Creation of the World. However, I have no idea wether the song is in the original version, or if it was for example translated in english. I only have the knowledge of the song in czech. And it's great. And this song... There was this moment in the movie, almost at the end, when Noah tells them to repopulate the world. In czech, it's almost the words from the song, no Idea what he says in english. So, I imagined the song. Sure, it's in czech and majority of you won't understand, but I will still link it.
And the conclusion? Go watch the movie. It's good. And it has good actors. Apart from Hermione, because that is waht Emma Watson will always be to us, Harry Potter fans, there is Anthony Hopkins and other well known actors. Though I will have to check who plays the sons. I have no idea and I wanted to find out yesterday!

See ya.

Cinema

Hi, yesterday (13. 4. 2014) I went to the cinema with my mother and grandfather to watch the Noah movie. And I have to say it was great! However, I will leave the evaluation of the movie itself to a post of its own. This post is more about the whole experience.
So, like every Sunday, my grandpa came to our house for lunch, several days before, I made us a reservation in the cinema, so that we can have good seats. And so some time after the lunch, we wnet.
And this is where the fun starts. You see, whenever grandpa is with us, we end up arguing about all the unimportant stuff. So, this time, it was how to get to the cinema. Mom and grandpa had these weird ideas but I shot those down and told them we were taking a tram. Yeah, I admit it is a bit of a walk to get to it, but it was a nice day. Not too hot and not too cold, so there.
When we got off, it was another debate, wether to take another tram and go one stop or if we are to go on foot. I was all for going on foot, but grandpa just ahd to go by tram and unfortunatelly, mom agreed with him. At least hte tram was already there so we didn't have to wait. I'd say that's a good thing.
And then, we went to the "Velký špalíček", which is where the cinema is. (Kudos to those who can guess which city I'm from!) and we got the tickets. Also we got the Cinema City Club card! I just love all the cards! And I just had to have it. I mean, it is convenient, because, with it, all the tickets are cheaper and with the points, you can get free tickets too!
And then, we got something to drink because I just cannot survive a movie without drinking!
Also, after a long time, We got popcorn to go with the movie. Usually, I don't buy it, but this time, I was feeling like munching on something while watching. Unfortunatelly, we were there early and I ate the popcorn before the movie even started... But it was still a fun thing.
The movie was good! I mean, all the good actors, one of them being Hermione, and while I don't remember the names of the others, I know they are very well known. I think one of them was Anthony Hopkins. But I just don't remember the names of the actors. I mean, I can tell you almost all the main actors from Lord of the Rings, but this? No, I don't remember. But I did enjoy the movie!
*And a bird just flew past my window*
Okay, and now I'm seriously distracted! Not by the bird, but by thinking about writing my stories! And I honestly don't know what to write more to this. So bye.

See ya.

The Sandlot

An older movie, I believe the year it was made in is 1993 or something? Correct me if I'm wrong. Well, the year doesn't matter that much.
So, this movie is about a boy who moves into a new neighbourhood and meets a boy named Benny. Benny Rodriguez. This kid together with a group of others plays baseball almost everyday on this bit of land called The Sandlot. The new kid – Scotty Smalls – sees them and in the end becomes one of them. And if left at this, it would be boring as hell, but that's not the case, because there is the "Monster". A monster behind a fence. And when the boys lose a ball that was signed by a famous baseball player and it falls victim to the monster, they try everything they can to save it. The only thing they don't try is knocking on Mr. Mertle's door.
In the end, Benny jumpes over the fence and gets the ball. Only, the "Monster" starts chasing him so he runs around the neighbourhood and leads it back to the fence, which falls over the "monster". Smalls then pleades with the boys to help him lift the fence because the "Monster" which is actually a big dog, is crushed under it and it's hurting him.
And then, there's a happy ending and the dog kinda becomes the official mascot of the kids.
Yes, the plot is simple and the movie is kinda old, but it is nicely done and I will probably watch it again. I watched the second movie in the series before this first one and it was good, but the first one is better.
There is also a third movie, but I stopped watching after about fifteen minutes into the movie. It cannot meassure up to the first two! No way! And the first is still the best. So, if you want a relaxing movie that still has an interesting plot, go watch The Sandlot. :)

See ya.

Pompeii

It's about half a week back when I went to see the movie Pompeii. I saw the trailer before and had high expectations. And I was not dissapointed. The movie is very good and definitely worth watching. About a young celtic "slave" (gladiator) that is moved from the city Londinium into Pompeii. There he meets the love of his life – Cassia. And another gladiator who he becomes friends with – Atticus.
However, life is not happy and there is this mean and nasty politician from Rome. And he has his eyes on Cassia. And wants the "slave" dead. So, games in the arena. Okay, that would have been okay. The celtic gladiator is strong enough to win. However, the mountain has other ideas and starts spouting fire. So, everyone panics and starts running. And... "Surprisingly" everyone is fried.
Yes, the plotline is a bit more complicated than that, but I don't want to reveal too much in case you want to see it for yourselves. So there.
The movie was really good and I definitelly recommend it. For some reason it was like I was watching something from the fantasy genre. Even though this is more of a catastrophic movie than anything else. The actors did a good job and while I don't know any of them, it doesn't matter.
However, my slash-y side decided I don't like Cassia. I was hoping that at least the celtic guy would save himself. But no, he has to be the gentleman and stay with the lady! God, I don't like her! If she were a guy, then... But that is not happening. But that's just me. I simply don't like female protagonists. Antagonists, yes, I can bitch about those without being lynched, but female protagonists... No. Not my cup of tea. At least the main guy was pretty.
Go watch it.

See ya.

The Hunger Games - Catching Fire

Hi,
Just yesterday, I finally saw the second Hunger games movie. And, I have to say that I liked the first one better. It was somehow a complete chapter. This one has too much of an open ending. Yeah, I know there will probably be another one, but still... Second movies in trilogies (tetralogies) are usually the worst. And I think this one is not an exception.

So, Katnis is elected to be part of some kind of special round of Hunger games. Okay. Understandable, since she's the only female to ever win in district 12. There are revolutions and somehow the one who organized the hunger games is part of that. Yes, it's complicated. And frankly, I didn't even try to understand it all.
Another thing is I don't like the mockingjay. Sure, it is the symbol of teh revolution or something. And there is some mysterious district 13 and waht not, but seriously, nightingale would have been better. I like nightingale better. However, if I were to choose a bird, I'd go with the Raven.
Well... That's beside the point. One thing's for sure. Do not try to watch it before watching the first movie. I think it would be too confusing.
All in all, it was kinda a dissapointment. Not completely, but still... Second movie and all that. Unlike the czech movie Babovřesky (second movie), this one was not better than the first, but worst. With Babovřesky, the second was as good as the first. I can't say it was better, it was too different, but it was enjoyable.
Okay, enough of this. I'm getting sidetracked!

See ya.
