Well, looks like I haven't published anything this whole year. But I really wanted to post at least one thing before 2023 ends. So I guess I will look back on the year in this post and we will see where it gets us.
Near the end of the last year, I've been moved to the HR department at work because my colleague left on maternity leave. I was thrust into it with very little training but managed to get the hang of it. The only downside to this position is having to use the phone quite a lot and I don't like that. Still, even with that, I write e-mails, or text whenever possible.
All in all, the year went past very fast. I spent most of it playing video games and reading fanfics while also watching anime and other things. Whenever possible, I also made art and even got back into oil painting a little. And by that I mean I did two canvas paintings. Other than that, I used mostly just colored pencils or crayons. Sometimes charcoal or pencils.
I've also been writing a journal since the beginning of the year. By hand. I'm already on volume four and I've honestly been writing every day. Or, if I somehow skipped, I added the day the next day. Sometimes I would write several pages, sometimes it would only be a line or two, but I have something written for every day since starting this endeavor.
Christmas was amazing this year. I had an extra day off work so we could go to our relatives' house a day early. We were playing board games and cards and having fun and it was just so great! We even went to the city to shop in second-hand stores one day and I got a pair of shoes and a jacket.
There were Christmas stalls in the square there so we visited there as well. Bought some spices and I had a "Langoš" for the first time in years. It was yummy. If you're ever somewhere where they got those and you've never had one, I suggest you try it. They're amazing.
And as I'm writing this, I have my character in Black Desert Online set to auto-fish and I'm waiting to catch a sandfish. Need it to complete a quest. So far, no luck, but I'll persevere.
Tomorrow's New Year's Eve and honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Most of the time, it just feels like any other day of the year. But when it's close to midnight, it starts to feel different. But then, midnight passes and it's again just another night. And then I have to start to write a different year to the date whenever I have to write a date at work and honestly, that's almost every day and that'll take a while to get used to.
And that's it. I'm going back to fishing and maybe I'll see you next year with another post. Hopefully sooner than a day before the year ends.
