The Grid is a place where criminals go to find justice. It has been that way for nearly a hundred years. Only, nothing is that easy. Not all the people who enter the grid are criminals and even if they are promised justice, anyone who enters the Grid dies in there. With the exception of the president. If only people knew that he came from beyond the Grid.
But everything will come to light as our protagonists Joe and Lucy try to figure out a message left behind by their fathers, both of whom are thought to be dead. But getting closer to the truth means gaining the attention of a man out for revenge. Damian Hunter is in charge of the Grid and the only person who can override him is the president, Josh Delman.
And it seems that the only place where truth can be learned is in the Grid.
This is the gist of the story. I am sure that the official summary of the trilogy is way better than this, but honestly, I somehow prefer my version of it. Also, it is really hard to write a single summary that spans three books. However, if you are a fan of the dystopian genre and also enjoy false utopia, this trilogy is something for you.
I managed to snag the first book for free on amazon sale and without it, I don't think I would have ever found it... Honestly, at first I was gonna wait and only get the second and third book when they would be on a really big sale or for free, but the first book was too good! Also, my amazon kindle app had an update and now supports infinite scrolling which is why I'm reading way more again. I hate having to flip pages in the app.
Back to the books, if you are a fan of hunger games, the Maze Runner or even the Giver, this trilogy is something you need to read. I have a feeling that Matrix fans would enjoy it too!
The style it's written in is gripping and won't let you put the book down until you're finished! Unless, of course, you need to get up and go to work...
Honestly, it's been a while since I was this into a book (or three). Last time I think it was something from S.R. Green. The Night Side perhaps... But this, even though it is a relatively unknown trilogy, it's really great and if this post will help spread information about The Grid, then good! Seriously, if you have the time and the means, go get yourself a copy of this and start reading! You won't be able to put it down unless there's something really pressing that needs to be done.
When I first opened the book in my kindle app, I didn't know it would be this good! But hey, it gave me hope for some of the other books that I've been postponing reading. Because maybe they are as good as the Grid, though probably not better than it. It's gonna take a lot to top the Grid, but if I find something that does, I will be sure to tell you, okay?
